What is Azent Delivery Time Slots?


Azent Delivery Time Slots is a Shopify app that allows your customers to choose their preferred delivery date and time slot during checkout. Perfect for restaurants, grocery stores, florists, and any business that needs scheduled deliveries.


Quick Setup (5 Steps)


Step 1: Configure Pickup Dates βœ…


Set up when customers can receive their orders:


  1. Go to Pickup Date in the app menu
  2. Configure these settings:
  • Lead Time: How many days in advance customers must order (0 for same-day)
  • Cutoff Time: Last time to order for next-day delivery (e.g., 5:00 PM)
  • Max Future Days: How far ahead customers can order (default: 30 days)
  • Allowed Days: Which days of the week you deliver (e.g., Mon-Sat)
  • Max Orders Per Day: Limit orders per day (0 for unlimited)
  1. Click Save


Example: Restaurant setting

  • Lead Time: 0 days (same-day delivery)
  • Cutoff: 17:00 (5 PM)
  • Allowed Days: Mon-Sat
  • Max Orders: 50 per day


Step 2: Configure Pickup Times⏰


Create time slots for more precise delivery windows:


  1. Go to Pickup Time in the app menu
  2. Click Add Time Slot
  3. Set:
  • Start Time: e.g., 09:00
  • End Time: e.g., 11:00
  • Active Days: Which days this slot is available
  • Max Capacity: Maximum orders for this slot
  1. Add more slots as needed
  2. Click Save


Example Time Slots:

  • Morning: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Max: 10 orders)
  • Afternoon: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM (Max: 15 orders)
  • Evening: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Max: 10 orders)


Note: You can skip this step if you only need date selection without specific time slots.


Step 3: Add Cart Widget πŸ›’


Add the date picker to your cart page:


  1. Go to your Shopify Admin
  2. Navigate to Online Store > Themes
  3. Click Customize on your active theme
  4. Go to the Cart page
  5. Click Add block or Add app block
  6. Select Azent Delivery Time Slots
  7. Position it where you want customers to see it
  8. Click Save


Step 4: Configure Checkout πŸ’³


Enable the date picker at checkout:


Option A: Checkout Extension (Recommended)

  1. Go to Settings > Checkout in Shopify Admin
  2. Scroll to Checkout Extensions
  3. Find Azent Delivery Time Slots
  4. Enable it and position it in the checkout flow
  5. Click Save


Option B: Checkout Rules

  1. Set up checkout validation rules
  2. Configure delivery method requirements


Step 5: Verify Setup βœ“


Test your setup:


  1. Add a product to your cart
  2. Go to cart page - you should see the date picker
  3. Select a delivery date (and time if configured)
  4. Proceed to checkout
  5. Complete a test order
  6. Check that delivery info appears in order details

Common Issues
